Having trouble staying on track. And part of it, I think is depression over my foot troubles, but part is just boredom and needing to make the exercise and good eating more of a habit again. As posted earlier this month, I am finding that there is just too much to do around here for me to be logging into Traineo more than the once a week to update my weight.

So I'm not planning on even trying to keep up with the challenges right now, I need to re-focus on the eating and exercise and stay off the computer more. It just becomes a distraction and time waster for me at the moment.

That may change again, as the weather changes in fall/winter, but right now, I have work to do!

Oh, and I probably won't be around on the forums much for a while. I need to spend less time on the computer and more time out working in the yard and on the house. Not to mention exercise!

I will do my couple of challenge thread weigh-ins and maybe comment here and there on the forums, but probably won't be logged in more than several times a week. 'Tis summer and more to do than compute time!

Diet has been off an on... rather OFF over the weekend! Binged on cheetos and candy bars. And let's not forget PIZZA! Weight was relatively stable until yesterday, sigh. But stable is NOT what I'm looking for. I need loss, especially if I'm going to make my 200 pounds or under goal by the end of the year.

So gotta suck it up, get back on track. My feet are bothering me, yes, but that doesn't mean I can just lay about. If I can't use my feet, then I need to do mat or ball work.

Things are going to get tough, the weather is finally changing for the better, which means I add in YARD WORK! And lots of it after last years neglect. I pruned about a third of the roses finally yesterday. Hope to work on some more this afternoon. Allergies are killing me... even with my pill.

Have a good week everyone!

Whew! Yesterday's official Monday weigh-in was NOT pretty. 229.0 pounds. Today, weighed again after a day of normal eating and drinking and I'm down to 225.4. Should go down a bit more with further drinking and proper eating.

My feet are still feeling very inflamed and my back is very sore, so I'm not sure what exercise will be like this week. I'm just going to do the best I can, and if I can't exercise, will cut calories a little.

OK, back from weekend trip to Seattle... trip was fun... too much eating and not enough liquids. Huge weight gain, but it is probably mostly water. I rarely eat that many carbs normally! Feeling very dehydrated too, the weather was hot and the air conditioning in the building we were in was on the fritz.

So, getting back on track today, except for exercise. I'd have gone, but I came home with a huge blister on one toe, and I think that needs to resolve itself before I try to workout. Besides, after being on my feet a lot, they need rest as the plantar fasciitis is most definitely flared up again.

Thanks for the well wishes Cynthia! I feel okay. I went to the doc before it got ooc so it's really just the sinus pressure that's bothering me. Have a great day!

Scale down even more today! I think it is partly water though, as the hydration level on my Tanita was also down. Pool workouts just seem to SUCK the water out of me, even when I am drinking over a gallon a day! 20 cups of water and it still wasn't enough, sigh.

I must say, though I did not workout quite as much last week, and may not be able to this week, maybe my body needed the rest. Weight is down... I've gotten below the 220s to 219.6.

Road trip next weekend though, so can't say if NEXT Monday's weigh-in will be good. I'll just do my best not to let the eating get too out of hand.

Managed my very first suspended plank today! For all of 10 seconds, LOL! but it's a start. I couldn't begin to do one a month ago. Also improved on TRX assisted lunges. 12 on each leg!

3 days of 20 minute sessions of fasted cardio got my feet sore and inflamed again, sigh. So I rested for a couple days and will hopefully resume tomorrow with a shorter session of 10 minutes. Seems almost not worth it, but one can only do what one can do. And who knows, even a short session might have a few benefits.

Meanwhile, surprise, surprise... I check my body fat percent daily with an Omron Body Fat Monitor. Today was the first day I have ever seen a sub-39.0% reading. Not that it's necessarily right as these devices vary according to your hydration level, but I saw 38.6% and that was exciting. It just means I'm making progress, slowly but surely.

I just posted about the semi-fasted cardio on my blog with a link to the article I read that convince me to try it.

I figure it may help, because I can't do a lot of intense workouts outside the pool anyway, so a mild workout in the morning might be just the ticket to move things along. I hope. Two days in and so far, so good. Though I think I need to ice my feet tonight.

A good morning to all! Today is my "official" weigh day for my blog and I'm happy to report that at least for today, I've lost 40 pounds! Now to keep on track and KEEP IT OFF! But I'm adding a short bout of semi-fasted cardio to my mornings, we'll see if that is helpful this week.

Everyone needs breaks! I took a kind of semi-break this week. Eating not so strict, a little less exercise. Just felt tired. Now I'm feeling more energized, so probably will be gung ho again this week.

Hang in there Lilly!

I'm not giving up...Right now it's more like taking a break, but it will not continue forever! :) Need to hop back on that bandwagon. Thanks for all the suggestions as well..again, I really appreciate your support! :)

Tough TRX trainer workout yesterday! I'm sore all over. Eating was good, up until last night, where I was just so tired and my feet feeling stressed that we ordered a nice vegetarian pizza with added chicken. I skipped my 5th meal after that and just went straight to bed.

It's probably a wonder I didn't get acid reflux! But all was well. I slept like a dead person.

My weight is up today, but I think it's all water retention and I'm not worried.

Little note here... I achieved an Active Lifestyle Award yesterday on the President's Challenge site, a goal I've had for a while, but never actually managed to stick to and achieve! I ordered a T-shirt as my primary award!

Better still... now that that goal is done, I switched to the Presidential Champions program and found that I have accumulated enough points for the Bronze Award. But I'm going for GOLD!

Eating has just been awful lately. I think I am finally back on track today. Good TRX trainer workout yesterday and another good workout today in water aerobics.

The scale figures have not been pretty! It may take another week to undo the damage.

Another meltdown Monday. I blame it all on taxes and stress. But the taxes are done, the checks are mailed, the IRAs set up and all is good.

Doesn't erase the pepperoni pizza, the breadsticks, the serving of ice cream, two candy bars and a small bag of Cheetos though. So it's back to work and back to being on track for me.

Oh, and it's cold and windy again!

Saturday was a bit of a meltdown... no food logging and mostly nibbled nuts and cheese all day. Could have been worse, but not ideal. No exercise either. Was just exhausted. Aside from being sleep deprived... we went from 50F days to 80F days and I think the temperature change affected me for the worse as well.

Was back on track yesterday, and also got in a good Nordic Track ski session.

Today... dealing with picking up the taxes, running them to hubby to get 'em signed, and back to the accountant. I don't know if I'll make my water exercise class or not, but will try to get some form of exercise in.

Gahhhh! OK, got taxes into the accountant yesterday, which was a relief! Even had time to get to water aerobics and did a full workout on very little sleep. But by night... was exhausted. Had to do some shopping and mostly was OK, but did bring home ice cream and then also brought in a thin crust bake-it-yourself pizza.

It's not all bad, I've not eaten up to maintenance level once this week. And I enjoyed the ice cream. It's not a huge temptation and there are only two more servings left anyway, as it was just a pint. We did enjoy it!

Now the trick is to get going today and get a good workout in.

Yeah, it just was getting to be too much! If Traineo were the only place that would be one thing! Software on my computer is my main thing... no need to go online to access it, and the records are there for me.

I enjoyed a Papa Murphy's Mediterranean Chicken DeLite thin crust pizza last night. Workout day and it was a nice break from cooking. However, I think we ate it too late, I did get a little acid reflux, which I haven't had in a while. Sigh.

The good part is my weight didn't shoot up today like I might've expected! I'm hanging at 222.0 even.

Hi Cynthia,
Totally hear you on keeping the online time and logging time under some kind of control.

I used to keep some very deatailed logs but as I got more familiar with what the numbers meant, and the general trend, I didn't need to do it so often. Sounds like you have plenty going on there already.

Ta ta for now,
Phil

Oh, I'm not sure if I want to keep trying to do daily logging of my weight, workouts, diet over here on Traineo. I'm thinking maybe just update the weight only on Mondays.

I log all this stuff in software (Crosstrainer 6)... weight daily on Skinnyr.com for my blog weigh-in page graph, meals/water/workouts on Joe's Goals, workouts on President's Challenge (trying for my Active Lifestyle Award) and it's just getting too cumbersome to do it here too!

So don't get concerned if you don't see so much activity on my graphs from here on out. I'm keepin' on keeping on, just need to cut down on all the online time!

All good today... my body finally shed the water it was hanging onto after my hard resistance workout Saturday... saw a new low of 222.4! I also saw my BMI dip under 35.0 for the first time. And while I'm still a bit sore in the thighs from Saturday, it has eased a lot.

Getting going in water aerobics yesterday was hard, because of the soreness, but I did OK. Swimming after... difficult. Had no legs left at all. Did a quarter mile. Then walked slowly for a quarter mile.

Haven't decided whether I will rest today or actually do a little workout. I'm leaning towards trying a new DVD.

Doin' fine... I had a small binge episode earlier in the week, but even with that, still stayed in my calorie deficit. I need to be more careful though.

All good over the weekend so far, except for tax aggravation. Nearly have all together for the accountant though.

Killer workout Saturday... it's been a DOMS day today. But I can, at least, walk, so not complaining!

I'm not expecting any kind of big loss tomorrow, but all week, I've mostly been under last weeks weight, so I'm fine with that. I think I'm going to try and start incorporating a little more core work on Tuesdays if I can manage it.

Just realized my diet graph probably isn't looking quite right. Trouble is, I don't do the exact same calories each day... I'm higher on training days, lower on rest days. So I guess I need to do the custom calories thing each day and then slide the graphs into place. I'm not quite used to the drill yet, LOL!

I seem to be breaking through the 225 pound barrier, at last! Although scale losses have been going slow, I'm definitely seeing lowering body fat % number on my Omron Body Fat Monitor. Last month... was seeing 39.7s, 39.8s, 39.9s and some 40.0s... this month, have seen some 39.0s, 39.3s and up to 39.7s.

Slow progress, but progress is most certainly there and I'm encouraged!
